OuterPractice for teachers is an asynchronous review tool: a student exports a session file from a home practice, the teacher opens it, pins comments to specific events on the timeline, and sends the file back. No accounts, no cloud, no scheduling.

The lesson loop, between lessons.

Your student practices at home, exports a session, you annotate it, send it back. No accounts. No scheduling. No cloud.

How a lesson loop runs

studentteachersession fileannotated file
  1. 1. Student practises and exports a session file.
  2. 2. Teacher opens the file in their browser. No install, no account.
  3. 3. Teacher pins written comments to specific events on the timeline.
  4. 4. File goes back to the student. Discussion continues asynchronously.

What the student gives you

  • Pose data per second (shoulder rise, head tilt, torso angle).
  • Facial-tension markers (jaw, brow, blink rate).
  • Ambient-audio features (onset jitter, dynamic events).
  • Pre/post body-state sliders — the student's own subjective rating.

What it isn't

  • Not a substitute for in-person lessons. It is the between-lesson layer.
  • Not a video review tool. It is a body-state review tool — no video persists.
  • Not a student-management system. No rosters, no scheduling, no billing.

Teacher questions

Does this replace in-person lessons?

No. It's the between-lesson layer. The live observation that an in-person lesson provides is irreplaceable; OuterPractice covers what happens at home in between.

How do session files reach me?

However you and the student already share files — email, cloud drive, AirDrop, USB. There is no server in between. The file is a JSON export.

Can I annotate while watching the student practice live?

No. v2 is asynchronous only. Live observation is what an in-person lesson already provides.

What if two teachers annotate the same session?

Last import wins on the student's device. v2 does not yet resolve concurrent edits — surface a limit, document it, plan to address if needed.

Is it free?

A free tier lets you import up to 3 sessions and annotate freely. Beyond that, full teacher mode is €149 once.

How much does it cost?

€149 once, lifetime for v1.x. Full teacher mode with unlimited imported sessions. 30-day money-back. See pricing for details.
